People United is a non profit foundation which is busy with funding and starting up projects in Granada, Nicaragua. We are a purely socially based organisation with no political or religious meanings. We are supporting all kinds of social institutions and projects, for example: supporting schools, streetchildren and communities where elderly people live together. The support we give is only in kind and for example: schoolmaterials, sport articles, medications and all other stuff they are in great need of. Everything we donate we deliver ourselves. there is a continue control and evaluation about how everything is used and if everything is like we had it in mind. Working with this system we are assured that everything gets to the people it was ment for. Money which is donated will only be spent in Nicaragua, in this case we can also contribute a little bit to the local economy.  

One of our goals is to get foundations out of the dusty hippie scene. Giving nowadays is a hip thing, modern and conscious people start realising that giving aid is actually (when you can afford it) a part of a contribution to a better world. People are proud when they know that with their money a school is built.

People United is based on volunteers, this means your money goes directly to the projects, that is the advantage of a small flat organised foundation with no complex structure....

The organisation works close together with local people who work in different kind of social projects, who know the country, city and it`s people, only they know  exactly where aid is needed!
